My father is a good man. A little annoying; but a good honest, loyal and caring person. He got married to what I thought was a good woman. She was in dept up to her eyes in credit cards and was about to loose everything.

My father got her out of debt, used his money, his inheritance money and his labor (with help from my brother and i) to fix up her house, and set up a retirement plan for them both.

Then she cheats on him, and then files for divorce. She played the poor me victim card, changed lawyers three times, lied and got caught in those lies several times. My father spends like 10k in legal fees, and gets $2,500 in the settlement one year later. And people wonder why men are disinterested in marriage and/or relationships all together?
